The 3 Bookish Things Tag

Aloha and happy summer! Today I was tagged by Lotus @ Pages of Starlight! (Side note: I’ve been trying to find the creator of this tag, so if anyone knows who it is, please tell me!)

3 Read Once and Loved Authors

Stuart Gibbs, Chris Colfer, and Scott Westerfeld! I first read Spy School (Stuart Gibbs), and immediately loved it! He’s know my favorite author! I was surprisingly delighted when I friend of mine lent me her copy of The Wishing Spell (Chris Colfer) and fell right into step with the characters and world! I’ve read a lot of Westerfeld books and haven’t been let down by a single one! Spy School (9781442421837): Gibbs, Stuart: Books

3 Titles I’ve Watched But Not Read

I’m with Lotus on this one! I haven’t read The Secret Garden but I’ve watched the movie! I tried the book but it was a rare DNF. I also binged Letter For the King and LOVED it, but decided not to read the book (at least not immediately) because I have a never-ending to-read and there isn’t magic in the book. And lastly, the Star Wars books. I haven’t read a book in the Star Wars universe that is a movie or show, but I’m currently reading Ahsoka, which picks up after the Clone Wars show with one show scene at the beginning and begins on Empire Day (the 15th Anniversary) which is a key episode in Rebels. (Yes, I know that’s a lot, but the time frame is very important). THIS POST HAS MADE ME REALIZE THERE’S A LETTER FOR THE KING TIE-IN I WILL BE READING!!

Star Wars: A New Hope by George Lucas

3 Series I Have Binged

I read The Underland Chronicles for a readathon, the first two (book 3 hadn’t come out) Impostors books because they were INCREDIBLE, and Matched because I was HOOKED!

Gregor the Overlander: Collins, Suzanne: 9780439678131: Books Impostors (1) (9781338151510): Westerfeld, Scott: Books Matched (9780142419779): Ally Condie: Books

3 Characters I Love

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

It’s really hard to choose just 3, so I choose one book with 3 characters I love. The Dynamic Triplets. Nathaniel, Silas, and Elisabeth from Sorcery of Thorns! (And the sword of course)

3 Current Favorite Covers The Great Destroyers eBook: Richmond, Caroline Tung: Kindle Store
Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson
Untethered (Shielded, #2) by KayLynn Flanders

None of these books have released yet- but the covers have! The Great Destroyers reminds me of Richmond’s previous novels! Vespertine’s cover is another work of art (great pun, I know) by Charlie Bowater. Untethered is the sequel to Shielded (as the cover states) and it’s just as stunning as the first cover!

3 Things You Have Used As Bookmarks

  1. Because I am a semi-normal person, a bookmark. I have dozens of these.
  2. Sticky notes with the sticky part cut off. I also do that to mark quotes in books I’m reading.
  3. And… memory! A lot of times, I memorize my page number.

3 Favorite Authors

Must I answer this? I have a list of 15+ authors I love reading 😅

3 Unpopular Bookish Opinions

  1. I don’t like ebooks
  2. I LOVED Harry Potter and the Cursed Child! (the screenplay) Agreeing with Lotus again, who enjoyed it.
  3. I have read a lot of reviews of The False Prince of people loving the surprise ending. But to me, it was sudden with NO hints at all to what happened in the first 323/342 pages of the book! I still enjoyed the book and twist, but it was unrealistic.

3 Book Goals for the Year

  1. Read at least 100 books!
  2. Read at least 15 Historical Fiction and Nonfiction (combined) novels!
  3. Finish all series I’ve started

    1. 😁 I’m glad you enjoyed the series! The Star Wars books are ghostwritten, meaning that the books were written during the movie production. (There are also thousands of books that don’t have an adaptation). Thank you x2 ❤

    1. I have no idea either! Yes another page memorizer! (Weirdest thing I’ve ever typed lol) Ahhh yes it’s gorgeous! (Side thought: All the guy on the cover needs is a longer ponytail and he’s young Anakin Skywalker…). I have ambitious goals haha! Thank you so much! 💕
